Terms
Last updated 26 October 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Corstride Labs, a company incorporated in Ontario, Canada, which operates Cappetite. By creating an account or using the app you agree to them. Our Privacy policy explains how we handle your information.
Who can use Cappetite
You must be 16 or older. You’re responsible for keeping your sign-in details safe and for what happens in your account.
Not medical advice
Cappetite is a tracking tool for general information. It is not a medical device and does not give medical, nutritional or dietary advice. Calorie and macro targets are estimates from standard formulas and can’t account for your health or circumstances.
Talk to a doctor or registered dietitian before changing how you eat, especially if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have a medical condition, take medication affected by diet, or have or have had an eating disorder. If tracking food is making you anxious or unwell, stop and speak to a professional.
AI estimates and food data
Nutrition figures from a photo are an AI’s estimate. They can be wrong, sometimes by a lot: it can misidentify a food, misjudge a portion, or miss ingredients it can’t see. Check and correct every estimate before saving it.
Food search and barcode results come from USDA FoodData Central and Open Food Facts. We pass them on as they are and can’t guarantee they’re complete or correct.
Never rely on the app for anything where a mistake could hurt you, such as avoiding an allergen or working out a dose of insulin or other medication.
Cappetite Pro
- Pro is sold through the Apple App Store or Google Play, which take payment and handle billing.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the price shown until you cancel. To avoid the next charge, cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends, in your app store account settings. Pro continues to the end of the period you’ve paid for.
- A free trial, if offered, becomes a paid subscription when it ends unless you cancel at least 24 hours before then.
- If a price changes, the store tells you first, as its rules require.
- Refunds are handled by the store you bought from, under its policy.
- Deleting your Cappetite account does not cancel a subscription. Cancel it in the store first.
- Free features, limits such as the number of daily photo scans, and what Pro includes may change. If we reduce what a paid plan includes, the change applies from your next renewal, and you can cancel before then.
Using the app fairly
Don’t misuse Cappetite: no attempting to get around limits, access other people’s data, overload or probe the service, copy or reverse-engineer the app, use it through automated means, or use it for anything unlawful.
Your data and content
What you log and the photos you take are yours. You allow us to store and process them only to provide the app, as described in the Privacy policy.
Our app
The app, its design, text and logos belong to Corstride Labs. We give you a personal, non-transferable right to use the app for your own non-commercial use, under these terms.
Changes and availability
We may change, pause or discontinue features, and we may update these terms. If a change matters, we’ll tell you in the app before it takes effect; if you keep using the app afterwards, the new terms apply. The app is provided as it is, without a promise that it will always be available or free of errors.
Our responsibility to you
To the extent the law allows, Corstride Labs isn’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for decisions you make based on figures shown in the app, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid for Cappetite Pro in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law that can’t be limited.
Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time in Profile → Delete account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.
Apple App Store
If you got Cappetite from the Apple App Store, these points also apply:
- These terms are between you and Corstride Labs, not Apple. Corstride Labs, not Apple, is responsible for the app, its support and maintenance, and for handling any claims about it, including product liability, legal or regulatory claims, consumer protection claims and intellectual property claims.
- If the app fails to meet a warranty that applies to it, you can tell Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any. To the extent the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app.
- You confirm you’re not in a country under a United States government embargo, and not on a United States government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Your use of the app must also follow the App Store’s terms. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
General
These terms, with the Privacy policy, are the whole agreement between you and us about Cappetite. If part of them can’t be enforced, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a term isn’t a waiver of it. We may transfer these terms to whoever takes over Cappetite; you may not transfer them.
Law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada, and disputes go to its courts, without affecting any protections or right to go to court you have under the law where you live.
